General Information& Regulation

Founded in 2002, Freight Investor Services (FIS) is a dry bulk freight and commodity futures inter-dealer broker based in the United Kingdom. FIS is present in all major commodity derivatives markets globally and is an IDB participant of The Singapore Exchange (SGX), NASDAQ, Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), European Energy Exchange, Dalian Commodity Exchange and the London Metal Exchange. FIS was the first broker in the cleared Iron Ore Swaps market in 2009, the first in cleared Coking Coal swaps in 2013, and the first to introduce Air FFAs in 2019.

Products

FIS provides clients with dry freight, wet freight, fuel oil, iron ore, steel/scrap, coking coal, container freight, fertilizer & grains, base metals & premiums, air freight and physical freight.

Technology

FIS offers clients the pricing and analysis tool, FIS Live, which combines live pricing with news and technical analysis across the dry freight, iron ore, fuel oil, coking coal, steel/scrap and fertilizer markets. FIS Live has both mobile and desktop versions.
